Team Land Rover Philippines helps Sendong victims
MANILA, Philippines - Team Land Rover Philippines, together with Land Rover Club of the Philippines, will be joining the relief and rescue operations for the Typhoon Sendong victims in Cagayan de Oro starting today until Jan. 19. The team will be bringing their trusty Land Rover Defender 110 to Mindanao, as well as their world-class driving skills which have recently earned them the 2nd Runner-Up Over-all title at the 2011 Rainforest Challenge in Johor, Malaysia.
Lead driver Hirryan Mendiola is no stranger to rescue operations that have called on his expertise at driving 4x4 vehicles in flood-devastated terrain, as he has participated in numerous rescue efforts in his hometown in Pampanga.
Team Land Rover Philippines is composed of father-and-son duo Larry and Hirryan Mendiola, mechanic Dennis Javier, and Land Rover Philippines executive director Marc Soong.
The Land Rover Defender 110 is the tough, reliable mobility platform for countless emergency and rescue services as well as for a huge number of industries including power generation, quarrying, agriculture, oil exploration, forestry and civil engineering.
