MANILA, Philippines - Research In Motion (RIM) introduces an exclusive Made for PlayBook accessories collection, created especially for BlackBerry PlayBook fans.
Curated by international creative agency Winkreative, the collection features seven contrasting cases designed by brands from around the globe, including Delvaux, Valextra, Ettinger, Brooklyn, Porter, Want Les Essentiels de la Vie and Ganzo.
Each collaborating brand was handpicked for its craftsmanship, quality, functionality and attention to detail – values at the core of the BlackBerry brand.
Todd Wood, senior vice president of industrial design at RIM, explains, “We’re incredibly proud of the new BlackBerry PlayBook and we think it deserves a special case to house it in. This collection of bespoke cases echoes the care and attention to detail of the product design process.”
The covetable collection is designed to both personalize and protect the new BlackBerry PlayBook in style. Creative director of Winkreative, Tyler Brûlé, said, “We were proud to ask some of our favorite artisans to create cases for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Each designer brought their unique eye to the brief, whether through Porter’s signature utility style or Delvaux’s history of luxury leatherwear.” 
The BlackBerry PlayBook, which measures 19.3 x 13-cm in size, 10-mm in thickness and weighs less than 425 g, fits in a jacket pocket or handbag. The BlackBerry PlayBook comes with HD, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity and delivers uncompromised web browsing with support for Adobe Flash, true multitasking, HD multimedia, advanced security features, out-of-the-box enterprise support and a robust development environment. Among its leading multimedia features are forward and rear facing HD cameras, HDMI out and rich stereo speakers.
The BlackBerry PlayBook is now available in three Wi-Fi models, featuring 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of memory storage, from authorized retail stores and mobile operators with a 12-month warranty.
