Victorinox and biometrics fingerprint sensor

MANILA, Philippines - Imagine a pocketknife that can cut, slice, provide light, control a PowerPoint presentation from a distance and store critical information that only the owner can access.

Imagine no more because Victorinox fulfills the fantasies of every self-confessed techie with its new line of USB drives. This device comes with modern security features that aim to protect the stored data from unauthorized use.

“Advanced digital technology calls for an equally higher security measures,” says Victorinox Swiss Army Knife senior product manager Terence Chua.

Victorinox addresses this concern by creating data storage with a secure data encryption technology, created by Victorinox. These new products will be available in the Philippines in two models: The Victorinox Presentation Master (8GB and 16GB) and the Victorinox Secure (8GB and 16GB). Both integrated within a useful set of tools including a blade, scissors, nail file, screwdriver and a key ring.

The Victorinox Presentation Master features a laser pointer and an integrated Bluetooth remote control compatible both with a PC or Notebook. This enables the user to switch PowerPoint or other presentation program slides wirelessly. But the most special features is the Fingerprint module with biometric sensors. Your files are thereby protected, and can only be accessed by recognition of your fingerprint of password. This can recognize up to 10 fingers and has a very high transmission rate of 300 frames per second.

Meanwhile the distinctive features of the Victorinox Secure include a fairly powerful LED light white and a retractable pressurized ballpoint pen and of course, the fingerprint module.

Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is exclusively distributed by Star Paper Corporation. Victorinox Presentation Master and Victorinox Secure are available at Cutting Edge branches: 2/F Trinoma; UGF Bldg. A, SM Megamall; 2/F Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia; 3/F Greenbelt 5 and 4/F Eastwood Mall.
