Globe supports international outsourcing summit

MANILA, Philippines - Globe supported the recently concluded 2009 International Outsourcing Summit organized by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPA/P) together with the Department of Tourism. The conference was attended by more than 200 stakeholders in the Business Process Outsourcing global industry.

“In Globe, we apply the Shared Services model to specific operations in order to attain greater efficiencies in delivering public service. Our thrust is to deliver the best quality service to our customers and so we continue to employ processes that will help us achieve this,” said Ernest L. Cu, Globe president and CEO.

Globe supports the Philippines’ aim to be the preferred outsourcing location for global enterprises. Through its corporate arm Globe Business, Globe has continued to pour investments to strengthen its domestic and international backbone,

Globe contributes and promotes the continued growth of the country’s offshoring and outsourcing (O&O) industry by providing the best connectivity in the country. The Tata Global Network Intra-Asia Cable System, Globe’s fourth international cable infrastructure investment, began serving business customers early this year. Globe also offers the first and only pure IP MPLS network in the country with its multi-service IP MPLS network called IP Converge Optical Network (ICON) that delivers highly reliable and secure netw0rk connections.

Globe provides a strong domestic data offering through its Broadband Access Service (BAX) network with 10G of bandwidth capacity. It also has a secure, flexible and reliable International Data Service that connects a business’ branch from the Philippines to the world. Its Data Center is the only multi-site data center service in the country with an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2005 certifications.

Globe Business also hosted the summit’s farewell night with a gala dinner for delegates and participants with the theme World Class Filipino. The well received evening highlighted the talents and achievements of select Filipino artists and featured Akafellas, Erik Santos, The Maneuvers and Mae Bayot.
