MANILA, Philippines - Hi-top sneakers have gone from the hard court to smart street style. And at SM Store, global brands like Converse, Pony, Supra and Vans are showing us how sneakers have transformed into what is now a fundamental piece of the modern man’s urban wear.

• Chuck Taylor’s All Star has an Aztec pattern design, while its Washed Canvas Hi has a stonewashed upper that gives it a distressed look

• Initially developed for hard court sports, gum soles’ rubber construction is designed to give better grip than plastic soled footwear, ensuring no marks left on playing surfaces.

• Converse Chuck Taylor’s All-Star Tri-Panel Hi has a textured gum rubber toe accent that really makes it cool.

• Leather and canvas lead the way in Converse’s Pro Field Hi; while Converse Chuck Taylor’s All Star Tri Panel Hi has a canvas upper with suede accents.

• White sneakers have been an off-duty wardrobe staple since the days of Paul Newman, James Dean and Steve McQueen. In today’s reboot, white sneakers find their way back into the wardrobes of a whole new generation of cool men.
