MANILA, Philippines -On a mission to showcase the latest in outdoor sportswear design, Columbia Sportswear recently gathered media photographers for a challenge that matched the historical grandeur of Corregidor and its ground-breaking product offering, Omni-Freeze Zero technology.
A new apparel technology, Omni-Freeze Zero is Columbia’s latest innovation in sweat-free outdoor shirts. Participants in the Corregidor Experience explored historic ruins and immersed themselves in breathtaking sights unique to the island, each busy taking shots for the photo challenge. Prior to the outdoor activities, Omni-Freeze Zero outdoor shirts were made available to guests.
From one stop to the next, the challengers started to feel the heat, and began to sweat. They ended the tour inside the Malinta Tunnel, where heat made them perspire even more. But all the sweating, humidity and heat failed to hinder them as Omni-Freeze Zero technology rose to the challenge, offering continuous cooling and keeping them dry — made possible by Columbia Sportswear.
With this technology, sweat is seen as a renewable source. The Omni-Freeze Zero technology acts by accelerating the wicking process to keep the wearer dry; then it recycles the sweat gathered to lower the fabric’s temperature.
