The American, famous for his darkly sophisticated interpretation of Hollywood’s arachnid superhero Spider-Man, is one of the industry’s most distinguished talents. Next year he stars in a host of highly anticipated pictures, not least Baz Luhrmann’s retelling of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1920s jazz age classic, The Great Gatsby.

With a cinematic consideration of lighting and composition, the campaign portraits capture Maguire in a boxy three-button Prada jacket over a mock turtleneck, while sunglasses paired with a buttoned shirt are a fitting nod to the discrete style of Hollywood fashion icons past.
