Stylish dads at work
MANILA, Philippines - Massimo Dutti celebrates Father’s Day with these extraordinary dads and their dedication not only to their respective jobs but to their most important role of all: being a father.
Although work may be demanding to businessmen Rafa Alunan and Chucho Martinez, and to Aurora Representative Sonny Angara, all three spent a day at the Ascott Makati, and shared stories proving their undeniable closeness to their families.
It’s a juggling act, says Rafa Alunan on balancing time between work and family: “I try to find short breaks in the day just to spend time with them and when I do, I reassure them that I’m always here even if I’m not physically there.”
Rep. Sonny Angara tries his best to spend weekends together with his family and have family vacations every now and then. “Our hours don’t jibe during weekdays, that’s why I try to spend as much time as I can with them on weekends.”
Chucho Martinez puts time for his family on top of everything else: “For me, it’s always been my family first, business second. My kids are my priority,” he claims.
Although changed by fatherhood and juggling different roles, these fathers still maintain that flair for fashion.
Rep. Sonny Angara believes that fatherhood is not an excuse to let go of oneself. He still keeps his outfits in check and claims, “Even if I’m a dad, I still want to be young-looking”.
Chucho Martinez’s better half keeps his wardrobe current “My wife tells me what to wear... I’ll always be well-dressed because of my wife.”
Rafa Alunan puts more effort into choosing outfits now as a father. “Dressing up is now more about being respected or responsible.” He adds “I try to complement my kids’ outfits, I choose fun and comfortable... classic-contemporary clothes.”
And Massimo Dutti gives them just that. Rafa Alunan loves everything about Massimo Dutti, especially its European flavor that inspires him to dress up. “It’s one of those stores that I choose to go back to when I’m looking for nice pieces to wear, not faddish but comfortable, classic yet modern.”
Rep. Sonny Angara loves Massimo Dutti’s quality and its classic designs. He explains “It’s not classic (na) it’s the boring kind; it’s classic but is still up to date... something you’ll surely keep.”
For Chucho Martinez, Massimo Dutti’s pieces are the type of clothes that he will surely wear. “It’s simple...some-thing that I will normally choose to wear. It’s new but it’s not in your face.”
In the Philippines, Massimo Dutti is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5 and Power Plant Mall.
