MANILA, Philippines - As an official sponsor of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes since 1981, Hugo Boss outfits the entire Formula One team with specially produced collections. Away from the track, Lewis Hamilton also likes to wear apparel from the Boss Black and Boss Selection lines.
As part of this partnership, the Formula One world champion was recently photographed by the artist Heinz Peter Knes. Inspired by the famous quotation from Hollywood icon Steve McQueen, “Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting,” Knes portrays the star driver in a virtual “waiting posture” inside a garage. In the process, he powerfully fuses the worlds of art and sports, both of which are key dimensions of Hugo Boss.
In the visuals, Lewis Hamilton presents Boss Black outfits from the upcoming Fall/Winter 2009 collection. The fashions feature clean, pared-down cuts and an intensely masculine look.
In the Philippines, Boss Black is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and the boutiques are located at Greenbelt 4 and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
