Mobo for the body

MANILA, Philippines - With a mind full of ideas and an eye for fashion, Lesley Mobo has made a name in the world of global fashion.

Born and raised in Aklan, Mobo took on the challenge of reaching for his dreams and gaining a string of accomplishments. He graduated from the prestigious Central St. Martin’s in 2002 with a First Class B.A. Honors Degree in Fashion and was the recipient of the Colin Barnes Award for illustration; was nominated in the Chartered Society of Designer Fashion Awards held in the British Natural History Museum; and participated in the “Fashion in Motion” exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, which was even featured in BBC News. Mobo has become the toast of the London fashion world since then.

Despite being in demand as a designer right after his graduation, Mobo studied for a master’s degree in fashion at St. Martin’s, winning the Emilio Pucci Award in Florence, as well as the coveted ITS Diesel Award at the International Talent Support in Trieste for his M.A. collection titled “Obesity in the North Pole” as showcased in the A/W 04-05 London Fashion Week.

Mobo takes a breather from his work as an in-house designer for Harrod’s and has returned to the Philippines to share his fashion expertise.

Mobo has partnered with one of the country’s fastest growing global brands. Mobo for Bench has become the most coveted underwear collection in town, first premiering in the mid-year staging of Bench’s biennial fashion show entitled “Blackout: The Bench Denim and Underwear” fashion show in Araneta Coliseum in July of 2008.

Mobo for Bench is finally available in selected Bench, Herbench, and Superbench outlets, and all Bench Body stores nationwide. For information, visit www.benchtm.com.
