Pregnant Rihanna, A$AP Rocky close 2023 Met Gala red carpet
MANILA, Philippines — Award-winning singer Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky closed the 2023 Met Gala red carpet after arriving just in time in true star power fashion.
A number of Met Gala favorites like Zendaya and Blake Lively were missed at this year's celebration, but Rihanna wasn't to be among those numbers as she arrived fashionably late at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art alongside A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna wore a Chanel-inspired, camellia flower-covered hooded gown by Valentino which had a long train that draped the museum steps.
The singer also paid tribute to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, whose legacy was the theme of this year's Met Gala, by wearing white fingerless gloves and white cat-eye sunglasses with faux eyelashes.

She completed the look with a Bulgari high jewelry necklace in platinum with different kinds of diamonds — 109 round diamonds, 561 fancy shape diamonds, and over a dozen pear and pavé-set diamonds — and 118 Akoya cultured pearls.
The bridal attire nods to Rihanna's past iconic looks at the Met Gala including her yellow Guo Pei dress in 2015, her petal-covered Rei Kawakubo design in 2017, an intricate Pope-inspired look the following year, and her black Balenciaga dress at her last attendance in 2021.
A$AP Rocky meanwhile wore a Gucci ensemble consisting of a single-breasted jacket, black tie, several belts, leather boots, and a long tartan skirt over denim pants.
The celebrity couple are currently expecting their second baby. Their first child turns a year old this month but they have yet to disclose his name to the public.
