MANILA, Philippines — Always one to veer away from talking about personal life, pop star Sarah Geronimo is now sharing how she is still adjusting in her new life as a wife and homemaker.
Geronimo shared that she truly enjoys her married life, as well as running her own household with husband Matteo Guidicelli.
“Everything is an adjustment period. I mentioned in one interview na medyo na-expedite ang aking adulting,” she said. “Ngayon mas hands-on ka na sa laman ng pantry mo, even ‘yung meal plan. Iisipin mo na ngayon hindi lang dapat masarap ‘yung pagkain mo, dapat healthy din.”
The “Tala” singer revealed that she's been doing a lot of baking lately. She admitted that at first, she was intimidated by it.
“Noon talagang nai-intimidate ako 'pag sinabing baking kasi may mga measurements kailangan accurate, kailangan precise. Madali naman pala basta susundin mo lang ‘yung recipe tapos meron pa akong stand mixer from Hanabishi na talagang gamit na gamit ko sa pagbe-bake ko,” she said, adding that her “favorite appliances as of the moment are the stand mixer and hand mixer.”
Meanwhile when it comes to cooking, Sarah usually prefers preparing Filipino dishes, such as Kare-Kare, Pinakbet, Bangus Sisig and Tuna Empanada.
Apart from managing her home life, Sarah is of course busy with her pop star life. Recently, she filmed a circa ‘80s-inspired music video with Hanabishi titled “Praktikal Na Kapartner” that effortlessly exudes a Stepford wife inspiration, putting some fun glam into a homemaker’s life. The aesthetic of the video is a retro eye-candy, with its mod vibe mixed with vibrant colors. Of course, Sarah is killing it with her strong vocals and dance chaps. The song was choreographed by Sherwin Casepe, with G-force Femmes Grace and Evita dancing along with Geronimo.
“We are happy to be able to continue our partnership with Sarah. We are glad Sarah can connect to our market, the young female homemakers, who are looking for appliances that they can rely on for their everyday and business needs," shared Cherish Ong-Chua, Vice President for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Appliances.
"For the past months, we have experienced a surge in interest from those who are starting home-based businesses, and we are really happy that they have chosen our products to help them kick start their entrepreneurial endeavors."
