WATCH: Two cooking series by Herald Suites now on YouTube
MANILA, Philippines — Herald Suites, in collaboration with Hatsu Hana Tei restaurant, recently launched Itadakimasu. Featuring Executive Chef Koichi Kondo, this six-episode series highlighted popular and well-loved Japanese dishes from sukiyaki to tempura, yakitori and different types of sushi.
The successful series was followed by Patikim, which featured Herald Suites Kitchens Executive Chef Judith Esluzar. In this series, most-loved Filipino dishes were prepared and cooked, making viewers recall tasty memories. It imparted not just the knowledge that food provides sustenance but also reminded who we are and where we come from.
The Filipino cook is always tasting, adding a little here, a little there adjusting until everything is "tamang tama." When the food is finally served, a happy balance is achieved.
