As one of the leading staunch advocates of arts and culture, Palacio de Memoria offers the public something to look forward to: a two-day outdoor fair open to all art enthusiasts and visitors.
This seven-story cultural purveyor will be showcasing the best of Filipino and European cultural heritage through a European-themed flea market, which will run from Oct. 23-24.
Inspired by the El Rastro or “the trail,” the most popular open-air flea market in Madrid, Spain, Palacio de Memoria aims to bring the colorful, fun, and vibrant festivity to fairgoers searching for bargains, antique shops, and gastronomic delights. The two-day Arts & Antiques Fair will be filled with various goods, from art pieces to antiques, paintings, sculptures, accessories, textiles, home furnishings and de?cor, wall art, gift items, toys, artisanal/designer specialty items, and collectors’ items to tickle every art shopper’s fancy. The finest from Filipino artists and artisans will be offered by Arte Fino.
The fair’s activities and booths will allow visitors to experience art and culture in different forms. On both days, the Open Bar by Distileria Limtuaco, Don Papa Rum will be giving a taste of what it’s like to hang out at a European bar back in the old days. Fair goers can look forward to an exclusive menu at the Food & Libation booth of The Loggia by Margarita Fore?s, a true showcase of European dining at its finest.
On Oct. 23, The Loggia together with Tanqueray and Moet & Chandon will take street food to new heights at the Galeria de Gunita, while ABS-CBN Film Restoration Inc. will host an exclusive film screening of the newly restored 1941 film Ibong Adarna directed by Vicente Salumbides on Oct. 24.
The Palacio also invites interested individuals to a scholarly gathering filled with literary, artistic and cultural interchange inspired by the Spanish tertulias or evening soirees of colonial times.
Tertulia de Memoria on Oct. 30 will let guests experience a weekend of intellectual exchange through a soiree hosted by The Loggia by Margarita Fore?s, an Open Bar by Distileria Limtuaco and Don Papa Rum, and a Sunset Film Screening by ABS-CBN Film Restoration, plus many more activities.
Palacio de Memoria implements strict health protocols in order to offer a safe place to all visitors who once again would like to enjoy their passions or those who are looking for unique experiences. Parents and paw-rents can also enjoy the event as kids and pet dogs are welcome at the two-day fair.
