MANILA, Philippines — While it can be a challenge for some people, making desserts can be fun especially when you follow simple recipes and use ingredients that you can find at home.
For your next dessert project, you can try these easy-to-make treats:
Ice Milk
Ingredients:
1 Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate
180ml water
1 glass of milk
Instructions:
1. Dissolve Dark Chocolate powder in 180ml of warm water.
2. Pour into ice tray and freeze for at least 3 hours.
3. Take out cubes and place into a glass.
4. Pour a glass of milk and serve.
No-bake Mug Cake
Make “merienda” even sweeter with this dessert in a mug recipe. You can add another layer of flavor by topping this with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
1 pack of Milk Chocolate (optional: Choco Milk Blends, the new variant made from pure melted chocolate, fresh milk and marshmallows)
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping: Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix 1 pack of Milk Chocolate, ¼ cup flour, and 1 tsp sugar in a bowl.
2. Add ¼ cup milk, ¼ cup melted butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
3. Stir well.
4. Divide and pour batter into 2 microwaveable cups
5. Microwave in high power for 2 minutes or use steam in high heat for 15 minutes.
6. Let it cool for 1 minute then top with ice cream and enjoy.
Chocolate Float
Ingredients:
Choco Milk Blends
Water
Ice cubes
Milk
Vanilla ice cream
Cookie crumbs
Instructions:
1. Dissolve Choco Milk Blends on warm water
2. Add ice cubes
3. Add some milk
4. Add a scoop of ice cream on top
5. Finish with cookie crumbs
Cereal Pancake
Ingredients:
1 pack Choco Milk Blends
2 cups pancake mix
1 egg
½ cup water
Instructions:
1. Mix egg, water, pancake mix in a bowl.
2. Split mixture into two bowls and add Choco Milk Blends powder in one bowl.
3. Squeeze little pancake dots of the chocolate mixture. When it starts to bubble, flip to the other side.
4. Cook another batch of the plain mixture.
5. Enjoy with a drizzle of syrup or a put in a bowl of milk.
