Dishes you’ve yet to try from Erwan’s restos
MANILA, Philippines – With a lot of restaurants introducing new concepts and twists on food, it’s just interesting and fun to check them all out. One of the restaurant groups that have joined the trend is Mothership F&B Group which is run by restaurateur and model Erwan Heussaff alongside several partners.
Their restaurants serve well-loved desserts like over-the-top milkshakes, unique and hearty meals, and homegrown favorites with exciting twists.
We then rediscovered three of their restaurants—Crisp on 28th in Bonifacio Global City, and Pink Panda and The Red Light in Makati City—to find interesting items in their menus. And we found several out-of-the-ordinary, exciting dishes and desserts we should be treating ourselves to more often.
Crisp on 28th
Crisp on 28th offers a wide range of dishes that highlights freshness and flavor. It’s your quaint neighborhood café in a quiet street in BGC that serves hearty meals, freshly-made desserts and handcrafted coffee.
Inspired by their passion for food and travel, Heussaff and his partners developed the concept for Crisp as they thought of the old street cafés they used to frequent in France when they were still in college. They wanted to bring the experience in the Philippines.
According to Heussaff, the concept of the two-year old restaurant may be French but they still want to offer dishes that have become appealing to the taste buds of Pinoys, thus the exciting twists they have on a few familiar dishes like:
PORK BIBIMBAP. A Korean dish with a hint of Pinoy, that is dilis EC Toledo/Philstar.com

Pink Panda
Pink Panda, the hole-in-the-wall Southeast Asian diner in Makati City, is the place to be for a legit taste of Thai, Indonesian, Malaysian and Vietnamese cuisines.
Authentic ingredients from the respective regions are used in creating each dish. Flavors are unique but Pink Panda puts playful twists on their dishes to make them still appealing to Filipinos’ palate.
The Southeast Asian diner has recently updated their menu, making it more interesting for everyone to try the various flavors of this part of Asia. Check out what we’ve tried:

The Red Light
At the ground floor of a building in Makati is a place where new ideas in the food industry are formed.
Featuring an outdoor bar and a 12-seat counter show kitchen, The Red Light serves as the test kitchen or a pop-up space for those who want to introduce new concepts in the food industry. It allows chefs, bartenders and restaurateurs to take full control of the bar and the kitchen.
It can also be a venue for cooking classes, private tastings, cooking demos or recipe testing. On some days, The Red Light is also Heussaff’s private studio when he creates content for The Fat Kid Inside.

Some of the brands that were at The Red Light are Pound by Todd English, Aloha Plate and MeatHeads which is a creation of Heussaff and his friends. The bar had been taken over by Diageo World Class Thai winner Neung Ronnapornn, Proudly Promdi and Joe's Brew.
