Third Pret-A-Portea Series with Charriol at Raffles Makati

Raffles Makati collaborates with Swiss luxe brand Charriol to launch its third Prêt-à-Portea series at the Writers Bar.  Confectionery connoisseurs can enjoy this classically designed afternoon tea until March 31. Available from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at P1,500+ for two, indulge in the taste of Tropézien as high tea is inspired by the timeless timepiece of Charriol St. Tropez 35. Paired with a preferred tea of choice, start off with a medley of savory teacup sandwiches, such as the mini-club sandwich Riviera, Pisaladiere, and melt-in-your-mouth focaccia Caprese, to name a few. The French pastries include a three-tier collection of scones, Tarte Tropezienne with lemon mousseline, chocolate hazelnut éclairs, and plush pink-berry tartlet mascarpone. The highlight of the day is blackcurrant macarons dipped in silver and gold, along with white-chocolate lemon cake in tribute to Charriol’s shimmering lunar mood.  Add a glass of rosé champagne at P1,000+ for a sparkling afternoon.

Fresh design, dishes for Wee Nam Kee’s 5th year

To mark its fifth year in the Philippine food industry, Wee Nam Kee goes back to its roots with a unique take on a traditional favorite, plus a modern look for its flagship store at Ayala Triangle Gardens.  Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice, which was established in the Philippines in 2010 by Weiser Co and Linfred Yap, introduced Hainanese chicken rice to the Filipino palate, along with signature Wee Nam Kee favorites such as cereal prawns, sambal kangkong, and sizzling Singaporean-style hotplate tofu. The newest addition to the Hainanese Chicken family is Soy Chicken, chicken marinated and cooked using a secret recipe. It is finished off with a serving of homemade sauce and served on cucumber slices.

Wee Nam Kee is located at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Serendra, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Greenhills Promenade, and Fairview Terraces.
