MANILA, Philippines - The replica of the Philippines’ first luxury hotel, rebuilt as Hotel de Oriente Convention Center, is open for public tours at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
Resort guests can take the tour at the new facility, which was constructed in the manner of the old Hotel de Oriente built in 1889 along Plaza Calderon de la Barca in Binondo, Manila.
Visit Hotel de Oriente Convention Center for an additional P200 per person — the maintenance fee includes a tour, entry to the newly opened exhibit, and a specially-handcrafted souvenir reminiscent of the resort’s Old World beauty.
The newly built convention hall is a three-story building situated between Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar’s enchanting river and the highly inviting beach.
The new development has two venues, Manila and Binondo Halls, catering to up to 1,000 guests in each area. Inside the Binondo Hall at the ground floor, the ceiling is adorned with casting works made of plaster of Paris. The Manila Hall, on the other hand, serves as the main venue of the structure with a built-in stage and state-of-the-art sound system. Located at the second level, this venue features hardwood parquet flooring, casting works on the ceiling, still life paintings, and carved decorations along the columns and walls.
The third floor has four function rooms named after some of the famous streets of Manila — Azcarraga, Avenida, Blumentritt and Sta. Cruz. The convention hall will also offer comfort to the most discerning guests with VIP boxes inside the Manila Hall located at this level.
Visit the convention facility at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a 400-hectare world-acclaimed resort located in Bagac in Bataan. A three-hour drive from Manila via NLEX and SCTEX, guests may avail of the shuttle service plying the Manila-Bataan route daily with New World Hotel Makati and Astoria Plaza as pickup and drop-off points.
