MANILA, Philippines - At the beginning of this year, Trish Panlilio of NawwTy’s Kitchen came up with a concept of showcasing her comfort food in a charming ambience with live entertainment.
She then invited good friends Dara Roa and Dong Ronquillo to complete her team and The Gourmand Market by Nawwty’s Kitchen was born.
This unique marketplace has a wide array of novel food products and homemade goodness carefully curated by Trish herself.
Nawwty’s Kitchen holds the third and much-awaited Gourmand Market, which will be held from Sept. 11 to 13, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at C1 Park, Bonifacio High Street Central (fronting the cinema building).
Selections vary from sweet to savory and all things delicious and new.
A total of 60 participants — a combination of old and new merchants — will showcase their wares at The Gourmet Market’s “season of fall.”
The Gourmand Market chooses its exhibitors well so there’s a wide assortment of food choices for discerning clientele.
“I also like that it does not create competition among my purveyors,” says Trish. “This way, everyone does well. The ambience and atmosphere is one that is positive, with good energy and an upbeat vibe.”
Must-try items include porchetta by Il Ponticello; crab-fat paella, paella Negra and slow-baked pepper ribs by Nawwty’s Kitchen; spicy chili con carne, Chimichurri over scallops and assorted soups, spreads, dips and stews from The Real Girl Toy Kitchen of Johanna Garcia; bottled cheese pimiento by Nicole Ortega of Morsels From My Kitchen; chorizo from Chorizo de Cebu; bottled leche flan and chocolate cake from Lia Torres of Olivia Dessert Jars; brownie brittle by Claudine Mijares; organic duck eggs by Bo Peep Arroyo of Green Babes; organic health wraps by Erwan Heussaff, Joel Poniente and Stephen Ku of Crisp on 28th; Larcy’s cupcakes by Larcy Diaz; and sushi from Wasabi Warriors by Kimmi Siu.
The Gourmand Market also carries Philippine-made kitchen accessories and decor for chefs, home cooks and homemakers such as herb-scented candles from Aning & Maripi Menendez, floral blooms from The Lavender Porch, napkin rings from Mariel Agustin of My Domesticity, and whimsical plates and vintage china.
