What’s on the Menu? Merienda meals at Super Bowl of China

MANILA, Philippines - Super Bowl of China welcomes the “ber” months with a choice of four Merienda Meals perfect for midday snacks.

For just P150, you can opt for one of three sets: Super Bowl Birthday Noodles and BBQ Pork Siopao with a glass of iced tea; Super Bowl Birthday Noodles plus two pieces of siomai with a glass of iced tea ; or if you prefer soup, the Braised Beef Brisket or Wanton Noodle Soup with a glass of iced tea. 

Offer is valid Mondays to Fridays, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. only.

Super Bowl of China’s Merienda Meals are available from Sept. 15 to Nov. 15 at Super Bowl of China SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, and Festival Mall Alabang.

Mooncakes in unique flavors at Sofitel

Sofitel Philippine Plaza celebrates the mid-autumn festival with special mooncakes designed by executive sous chef Mok Chee Wa.  Hailing from Malaysia with Chinese origins, he draws inspiration from his personal collection of recipes from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.

The mooncakes contain the best type of green tea sourced in cooperation with Sofitel Ponte Macau, selected after a blind tasting session in Macau with a Chinese tea expert. In keeping with the tradition, the mooncake boxes are specially designed by Sofitel Ponte Macau.

Along with the green tea flavor, Sofitel is offering mini mooncakes in unique flavors such as wintermelon, mixed nuts, chestnut, white lotus and red bean. There is also a choice of four big moon cakes such as the snow skin moon cake with mango chocolate, snow skin moon cake with coconut chocolate (pink), and snow skin moon cake with strawberry chocolate (green).

The mooncakes are available in a mini box of eight starting at P1,998 net or a regular box of four at P2,488 net. All mooncake boxes are limited-edition collector’s items.
