MANILA, Philippines - Red Ribbon introduces its pork pandesal stuffed with pork filling at P23 per piece. The pandesal can also be easily stored in a lunchbox, making it convenient for children to bring the new snack anywhere they go.

Sirloin tapa and Oreo mud pie at Acacia Hotel Manila

Acacia Hotel Manila offers its new additions to The Lobby Restaurant menu. Choose between beef sirloin tapa, longganisa, daing na bangus, chicken and pork adobo or corned beef paired with steamed garlic rice, and eggs cooked to your liking served with your choice of fresh chilled juices, coffee and tea. Other breakfast choices include blueberry pancakes and cereal. For lunch or dinner starters, try their chef’s special triple mushroom soup made with fresh button, oyster and shiitake mushrooms.  A variety of salads and sandwiches are also available such as the chicken Caesar salad and the triple decker, which has salmon, seared chicken fillet and grilled prawns topped with fresh avocado relish and sundried tomato spread on toasted black pepper brioche served with French fries on the side. Appetizers and international favorites offered are buffalo wings, gambas, slow-roasted French-cut lamb chops, seafood teppanyaki bento, US prime beef tenderloin and nasi goreng. For dessert there is the Oreo mud pie, vanilla ice cream sandwiched in crushed Oreos and drizzled with chocolate and almond flakes. Prices range from P250 to P900. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight.

Kanto kanto, gising gising at C2 Classic Cuisine

C2 Classic Cuisine introduces an improved menu lineup with new and original takes on Pinoy cuisine.  There is the Pampagana section, which includes appetizers like kanto kanto, an assortment of popular Pinoy street food with chili garlic vinegar and sweet chili sauce. The Ensalada  section includes  perya, a medley of pickled vegetables, or try the ensaladang bagnet. The Sa Kabukiran combines Ang Kangkong ni Dadong and gising gising, a Bicolano dish. For Sabaw there is sinigang na suahe with fresh shrimps, banana blossom and native vegetables in tamarind broth, or a Batangas bulalo, tender beef shank soup and leafy vegetables. Ulam features mechadong baka, the humba pata or kinulob na hipon. Bigasan includes three new varieties: chicharon rice, tinapa rice and fiesta rice. For desserts try the suman panna cotta, buko pandan or bibingka soufflé.

C2 Classic Cuisine’s branches are located on the 6th floor, Edsa Shangri-La Mall, Robinsons Place Manila, Greenhills and Lakefront Wharf.

Happy hour at Discovery Suites

Discovery Suites offers its Happy Hour from 6-8 p.m. Monday to Friday. For only P650, enjoy unlimited local beer, vodka tonic, gin tonic, vodka spirit and rum Coke.
