Korean restaurant Bulgogi Brothers’ aptly named Bulgogi Brothers Special is among the priciest items on their menu. But the slight dent it will make on one’s wallet is worth it: a no-frills dish, the Bulgogi Brothers Special will satisfy any diner who’s craving for something hearty.
Bulgogi Brothers Special consists of generous servings of beef briskets and chuck eye steak with some vegetable sidings. As with most Korean grill restaurants, the dish is cooked right in front of the diner on their table (customers have the options to have the dish served cooked, although that diminishes the experience one would get from ordering the dish). Each order comes with a serving of steamed rice and a set of “refillable†Korean side dishes.
The chuck eye steak is the star of the dish, it is slightly sweet and perfectly seasoned. The beef brisket, on the other hand, is juicy and lean. It comes with three kinds of dipping sauces but the meat is good enough to be eaten on its own.
The dish is perfect with an order of Spicy seafood dumpling (Haemul Gungjung Mandu), although a single order of the Bulgogi Brother Special alone should be enough to fill a party of two.
