Thanksgiving, the Filipino way, at SM

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -More than anything else, Filipinos value family the most. And one of our favorite ways of celebrating that bond is through festive gatherings. This season, SM Supermalls gives Filipino families a reason to take a break, have fun, and appreciate their blessings by celebrating Thanksgiving, the Filipino way.

Last Nov. 24, SM Supermalls launched its Thanksgiving lechon offerings at SM City San Lazaro and SM Southmall. Mounted by the façade of the Food Court, a long table set-up highlighted SM Food Courts’ Thanksgiving specialties.

SM Food Court offers a Pinoy twist to the celebration by showcasing the glorious lechon and the various dishes derived from it such as lechon paksiw, lechon kawali, sisig, and bagnet – as it is considered as the grandest food fixture in fiestas and gatherings.

According to Lea Casamayor, mall manager of SM City San Lazaro, “We have been holding special Thanksgiving offerings for several years now because it is our way of providing Filipinos a reason to celebrate because we know that Filipinos value family ties and simply enjoy eating together.”

Ongoing until Dec. 1 customers enjoy special promos when they dine at SM Food Courts across the metro such as group dining deals, special discounts on lechon specialties, and other promos by food tenants.

“We invite everyone to take part of our Thanksgiving celebration to get a taste of the distinct specialties of each region. With our wide array of food choices and special discounts, Thanksgiving will surely be a memorable experience for everyone,” adds Casamayor.
