Fish & Co. serves eight new delectable dishes

MANILA, Philippines - Fish & Co. is bent on getting seafood lovers to remain hooked with its eight additional dishes on its already palatable menu.

The restaurant's "new baits" include Chef Josh Boutwood's Paella, Fresh Tuna Picatta, Soft Shell Crab Pasta, Calamari Tacos, Shrimp Popcorn, Steamed Mussels in Pico de Gallo, Fish Crab Cakes and Smoked Fish and Crab Dip.

Boutwood said the most probable bestsellers among the eight new additions to Fish & Co's menu are the Paella, Soft Shell Crab Pasta, and Fresh Tuna Picatta.

The Paella has a generous serving of the classic Spanish rice dish flavored with saffron, slow cooked with a medley of vegetables and simmered in a flavorful broth, then topped with fresh shrimps and tender mussels.

Boutwood's Soft Shell Crab Pasta is richly smothered with aligue sauce and topped with a soft-shell crab. He said he came up with the idea of the dish after tasting aligue for the first time in the Philippines.

The Fresh Tuna Picatta features seared tuna strewn with capers and garlic, served with olive-oil based pasta and string beans.

The two other must-try dishes among the latest seafood set are the Shrimp Popcorn served with a tangy dip and a mix of blue and yellow corn nachos and the Calamari Tacos, which has a fresh take on the famous Mexican dish with crispy calamari wrapped in a soft taco with fresh onion slices and vegetables and served with lime wedges, fresh salsa and corn nachos.

Also among the notable of Fish & Co.'s latest seafood selection is the Smoked Fish and Crab Dip, a mix of smoked milkfish, crab meat, mayonnaise and cream cheese and served with soft taco slices and slices of warm toasted bread.

Boutwood said during the unveiling of the eight dishes at the Fish & Co. restaurant in SM Mall of Asia that they are also cooking up more additional dishes for the holidays.

Fish & Co. said that the eight new dishes may replace old seafood dishes on its menu.

It said that definitely, its all-time favorite Fish and Chips and Surf & Turf, grilled meats and burgers will stay on the menu.

The restaurant is offering the "Happy Lunching promo" from Monday to Friday. Starting at P295, guests may order any of the following dishes – Quarter Chicken Peri-Peri, Pork Chop Basilico, Chicken Parmagiana Pasta and Fish and Chips with Rice – which already includes a glass of iced tea and a bowl of soup. It’s great value for money and superb food you can afford everyday!

Fish & Co. also has a restaurant at the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
