MANILA, Philippines - Marks & Spencer recently held its first-ever “Food Fair Event†at the Eastwood Mall Atrium, recently. The event offered free food tasting activities with breads, pastries and coffee tasting, followed by sweets and confectioneries and an afternoon of tea and biscuits. The event was graced by chef Luigi Muhlach for the cooking demo and wine expert Chie Gatchalian of 5 & a 1/2 Twists.
Breads and pastries exclusively available at the Marks & Spencer Eastwood like croissants, crafted pastries and cookies were enjoyed with roasted, well-balanced, aromatic coffee.
Marks & Spencer’s offered a selection of its products at reduced prices including its crunchy dark chocolate chips for only P110, butter biscuits with vanilla flavor cream and raspberry jam (Jam Sandwich Creams) for P95 and shortcake biscuits thickly coated in milk chocolate for only P235.
Chef Luigi Muhlach shared some recipes using M&S food products such as, authentic Italian pastas and sauces, chilled-to-frozen ready meals and desserts and confectioneries. While the wine pairing discussion, hosted by Chie Gatchalian, enriched the knowledge of the audience on the types of wine, white, red or sparkling and what goes best with a particular type of dish.
