Smart’s ‘Live More Run’ on Jan. 19 at Nuvali

MANILA, Philippines - Smart sponsors the “The Live More Run”  on Jan. 19, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It  promises to help you start the year right through a unique fun-filled event designed for runners of all ages — whether beginner or veteran.

“The Live More Run is a great way to kick-off your 2013 on a positive note,” said Epok Quimpo, manager for Smart Sports. “This is our way of bringing people together to celebrate new beginnings and hope for a greater year.  It’s something worth trying for we only live once.”

The “Live More Run” is an untimed 5K parade, which promises to be “an explosion of color and happiness” and will end in “one epic party.” For every kilometer, there will be a color station where runners will be showered with colored powder.

Race kits include sachets of more colored powder, which will be used by the runners in the post-run powder toss celebration. This will lead to a night concert followed by the lighted balloon flying event.

“Proceeds of the running event will go to the MVP Sports Foundation which helps grassroots and elite sports programs and associations. By joining the ‘Live More Run’ and its activities, you’re helping shape future Filipino sports champions,” added Quimpo.

Registration is at Chris Sports branches in SM Megamall, Mall of Asia and North Edsa, Festival Mall and Glorietta; Toby’s Sports branches in SM Mall of Asia, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Glorietta; Brooks in SM North EDSA and Runnr in Bonifacio High Street and Alabang Town Center.

Runners may also get registration form online via www.livemorerun.com where other details about the race are also posted.

Registration fee is P500 for Smart subscribers and P600 for non-Smart subscribers.  This entitles registrants to a “Live More” souvenir shirt, running shades, race bib and the official race medal.
