MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom strengthens its partnership with Banco De Oro Unibank, the Philippines’ largest bank in terms of assets, and SM Prime Holdings, the country’s largest mall operator, by launching a promotional offer for Globe or TM subscribers who top up their prepaid load credits through a BDO Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
The Super Loaded Meals promo gives all BDO current, savings and cash card account holders free meals at any SM Food Court branch just by reloading their Globe or TM prepaid phones through any of BDO’s 1,430 ATMs nationwide.
For every reload, the customer automatically gets food coupons equivalent to 10 percent of the load amount value that may be used to buy food or drinks in any of the concessionaires at all participating SM Food Court branches. For example, a P100 reload gives a customer a P10 coupon; P250 worth of reload is equivalent to a P25 coupon; a P500 reload gets P50 coupon; and a P1,000 load gives a customer a P100 coupon. The Super Loaded Meals promo runs from July 15 to Oct. 15.
“As we have seen continuous growth momentum in our prepaid mobile subscriber base as well as in terms of revenues, we would like to give our prepaid subscribers more incentives while continuously expanding the availability and accessibility of Globe reloads,” said Ramon Matriano, head of the Consumer Sales Group at Globe Telecom. “Partnering with BDO and SM, both of which have strong thrusts towards consumer incentives, allows us to achieve our twin objectives.”
“BDO ATMs are conveniently located in strategic areas so when you need to load your Globe phone you do not need to look for a Globe loading station or dealer, you can just load your phone through the nearest BDO ATM,” said Juvencio L. Pereche Jr., senior assistant vice president and head of Retail Channels Management-ATM at BDO.
“In addition, with the partnership with SM Foodcourt, there is now an added value in loading your Globe phone. With the ATM receipts as proof of purchase, BDO account holders can now claim Super Value Meal discounts from any participating SM Food Courts. This offering is just the beginning of the special value-added services that our account holders will receive by simply using their BDO ATMs,” added Pereche.
“SM and its 38 food courts are proud to be the partner of BDO and Globe for this exciting Free Super Loaded Meals promo. All 460 restaurants and meal choices at SM Food Courts give the Globe Prepaid customer and BDO account holder an almost unlimited choice of food and drinks with every load,” said Grace Magno, vice president of advertising at SM Supermalls.
Reinvigorated product offers and the increase in retail channels have boosted the company’s prepaid mobile business. As of the end of March 2011, Globe posted a two-percent increase in prepaid mobile revenues versus the same period last year, to P9.432 billion, while its prepaid mobile subscriber base, composed of Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers, grew 14 percent year-on-year, to 26.173 million.
