A fresh take on buffet dining

-

MANILA, Philippines -  Nothing whets a Filipino’s hearty appetite better than a good buffet. With this in mind, Dads, Kamayan, and Saisaki EDSA elevate the buffet dining experience.

“Our EDSA branch has a lot of exciting things in store for our diners. From our signature wide variety of buffet selections, we are now giving this dining concept a unique twist to make the experience even more memorable,” enthuses Cara Villavicencio-Espinosa, daughter of Filipino restaurateur (and founder of Dads, Kamayan and Saisaki) Vicvic Villavicencio, and now managing director of the restaurant.

A highlight is the interactive open kitchen, which has been ingeniously incorporated into the buffet concept. The typical glass barrier, which was used to separate the diners and the chef, is now gone. Guests can now enjoy a closer, more personal view of the dishes being whipped up by the chef, making the experience as educational as it is delicious.

“By seeing the cooking process up close, they learn how the dish is perfected,” Cara explains. “We want our customers to bring home the experience so that they can enjoy it with their families and friends. With the “live” cooking sessions, they become students and diners at the same time. It’s a fun way to learn.”

Dads, Kamayan and Saisaki also sport a new look, featuring a homier, cozier appeal that is modern yet comfortable.

“My Dad taught us to never stop innovating, to always offer something that’s fresh and different to our customers—and this is something that we intend to carry on doing in the coming years,” Cara adds.

More new dishes are added such as roast leg of lamb, beef tendertips, mahi-mahi kebab, yellow fin tuna pesto, chicken pandan, tostadong adobo, binusog na pusit, and Saisaki rolls to the Ultimate Buffet. Now there are more than 200 buffet choices.

Dads Ultimate No-Left-Over Buffet price is P665 and at P565 during scheduled promo days except on holidays. Ultimate regular buffet price is P1,330.

For reservations and inquiries, visit or call Dads, Kamayan, Saisaki at 207 EDSA, Greenhills, Mandaluyong City, 705-1807 or 722-8125.
