Congo Grille nurtures young minds

-

MANILA, Philippines - Congo Grille formed the Safari Kiddie Club to give kids and teenagers the chance to know and appreciate the art of food preparation. Through the Safari Kiddie Club, children as young as four are given the opportunity to engage in different grownup activities, like the Jr. Chef and Bartender Program.

For its Nutrition Month activity held at its SM Clark branch, Congo Grille challenged aspiring bartenders to prepare their own version of Mocktail or Virgin Cocktail. This year’s theme is “Healthy Lifestyle ng Kabataan, Landas sa Kinabukasan.”

The event, which was participated in by students of St. John Integrated School Angeles City, was held for two weeks. The first batch consisted

of 50 elementary students, while the second had an overwhelming 90 high school students.

“Congo Grille sees the importance of empowering Filipino kids to become future leaders. By teaching them the virtues of patience, responsibility, and independence through this enrichment program, we are happy that we were able to help raise a better breed of young Filipinos,” said Carla Villanueva, marketing manager, Congo Grille.

Congo Grille is looking for school partners for their upcoming Jr. Chef and Bartender events. For inquiries, send your proposal to cvillanueva@congogrille.com or fax it at 913-5388/ 913-8266.
