Edsa and Makati Shangri-La Hotels present 'Signature Weddings'

MANILA, Philippines - Edsa Shangri-La and Makati Shangri-La Hotels will launch “Signature Weddings” on Aug. 27 to 29, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a bridal fair on the second-floor gallery of Greenbelt 5 across the Celebrations at Shangri-La store.

The bridal fair is a one-stop-shop for couples who wish to plan their wedding day well. Check out Edsa Shangri-La and Makati Shangri-La’s four “Signature Wedding” packages, which include accommodations in a luxurious bridal suite, various wedding amenities, Shangri-La-branded wedding collateral, signature dishes created by master chefs, an exclusive honeymoon offer in select Shangri-La hotels and resorts worldwide, and a memorable gift for the couple’s first anniversary celebration.

Gourmet burgers at Chili’s

Chili’s offers its new burger selections. Must-try items are the Gourmet Burger, ground beef encrusted in peppercorns and served with fried pickles, smeared with Dijon aioli and topped with Gouda cheese; Patty Melt, a grilled burger with chipotle-glazed onions and crispy bacon served with Jalapeño-ranch dressing; Smoked Meatloaf Burger, a thick, flavorful chunk topped with crispy onion strings on a sesame-seed bun with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and pickles; and the Ultimate Mushroom Burger, grilled burger with melted Swiss cheese, topped with a rich mushroom sauce and crispy onion strings.

Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at Manila Pavilion

Manila Pavilion celebrates the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival with Oriental dishes prepared by executive Chinese chef Lee Yan Feng at Peony Garden available until until Sept. 30. The Mid-Autumn set menus start at P8,000 for a table of 10 persons. Dishes include seafood bean curd with polon chay in thick soup; roasted duck; steamed garoupa fish with shredded ginger and shallots; stir-fried fresh scallop and shrimp with long cheng tea leaf; stir-fried eve noodle with chicken egg; deep-fried spareribs with honey lemon sauce; and moon cake combination, to name a few. Regular a la carte and set menus are also offered daily. Regular set menus start at P5,888 for a table of 10 persons. Moon cakes are available on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Patisserie.
