The Chainedes Rotisseurs is known for its gastronomic traditions. The events are often held at five-star hotels and restaurants, where members and their guests don their finest attire. Occasionally casual affairs are held where members can simply relax, have fun and enjoy minus the expected formal, prim and proper conduct.
Michel Lhuillier, Bailli Delegue Philippines and his lovely wife, Amparito, Bailli de Cebu, recently hosted a denim and white party at their fabulous, sprawling hilltop home in posh Maria Luisa Park.
Seen at the fete were former Philippine Ambassador to Italy Phillip Lhuillier and his wife, Edna, newly elected congressman Eddie Gullas and wife, Mingming; hoteliers Joaquim Schutte and Cristina Schutte of Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa; Efren Belarmino of Plantation Bay Resort; Roy and Carol Abraham of Marriott; Hans and Bo Hauri of Marco Polo Plaza; philanthropists Carlos and Mariquita Yeung; Alliance Francais director Louie Thevenin and his statuesque, wife Honeylet; accomplished directors Benie Diola and Al Evangelio; Rotarian Mila Demecillo; food critic Nestor Alonso and his wife, Joji, and socialites Rosebud Sala, Annabel Luym and Teresin Mendezona.
The menu was a delicious combination of seafood and steak with a variety of salads. The carefully selected fine wines from Michel’s private collection sustained the enchantment of the evening.
Hardworking and efficient Joel del Prado, general manager of Pino Restaurant and his entire team received the congratulations of everyone present for a truly sumptuous evening that brought the Chaine’s fellowship to a perfect end.
