Thai festival at Mandarin Oriental, Manila
MANILA, Philippines – Mandarin Oriental, Manila brings the best of Chiang Mai, Thailand, as it celebrates its 3rd Thai Festival at Paseo Uno from May 31 to June 7. Diners who avail of the Thai Festival buffet at Paseo Uno get a chance to win a pair of roundtrip tickets to Chiang Mai, courtesy of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The prize includes a three-night stay with breakfast at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi. Four chefs from Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi will bring the exotic flavors of their home country to the buffets at the all-day dining restaurant. Some of the specialties include pla nueng mah now (steamed fish with vegetable and lemongrass spicy sauce), tom kha gai (chicken in coconut cream soup), tom yum talay (spicy seafood soup with organic herbs), phad gra prao moo (stir-fried ground pork with holy basil leaves), geang kiew warn neua (green curry with beef), phad Thai goong (phad Thai prawns), and geang hung lay (northern-style yellow curry with pork and pickled garlic), among others. The Thai Festival will be available during lunch and dinner for P1,480+ for adults and P790+ for children. A special cooking class will be held on June 5 at 9 a.m. Slots for the class are priced at P2,850+, and includes a light continental breakfast before class and lunch with the featured dishes.

Kimpura Japanese Restaurant at TriNoma offers weekday meals for P298.
The meal includes mixed tempura — ebi (shrimp), kisu (fish), ika (cuttlefish), and assorted vegetables — steamed white rice, miso soup, kobachi (appetizer), a glass of iced tea and strawberry pineapple gelatin for dessert.
