PF Chang's China Bistro opens in Manila soon

MANILA, Philippines - P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is set to open in the first quarter of next year, bringing in a whole new dining experience for Filipino food lovers. The restaurant, which has its roots in America, is very popular in the US, with many overseas Filipinos already enjoying its fine cuisine.

Soon, Manila-based foodies will be able to savor the restaurant’s celebrated menu items, too. These include Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps, quickly cooked spiced chicken served with cool lettuce cups; crab wontons filled with creamy rock crab meat served with a spicy plum sauce on the side; and Sichuan chicken flatbread, Chinese scallion flatbread grilled with Sichuan marinated chicken, layered with melted cheese and served with a creamy Asian slaw.

P.F. Chang’s will also have lunch bowl menus and a set menu for two. Kids are also kept in mind with child-friendly food options that are just right for little tastes and tummies. The Kid’s Chicken, a bestseller in the US, is served with honey or sweet and sour Chicken sauce. The Baby Buddha’s Feat is a delightfully healthy combo of snap peas, broccoli, and carrots that can either be steamed or stir-fried, and kids who are averse to veggies will find comfort in the un-vegetarian chicken fried rice.

And, as this is a Bistro, drinks and desserts are also in order. Sweet-toothed diners will enjoy the banana spring rolls which are crispy banana bites served with coconut-pineapple ice cream and drizzled with caramel and vanilla sauces. Chocolate lovers will have fits of ecstasy over the Great Wall of chocolate, six layers of rich chocolate cake frosted with semi-sweet chocolate chips, served with a raspberry sauce. 

Archie Rodriguez, president and CEO of Global Restaurant Concepts Inc. (GRCI), which acquired the Philippine franchise for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, says that the new restaurant chain is aligned with the company’s other major assets that are CPK, Orchard Road and The Establishment, as they all offer a quality menu in a guest-oriented setting that includes cozy interiors and a fun atmosphere for an unforgettable dining experiences.
