Every Friday, indulge in a spread of lobsters, crabs, scallops, mussels, shrimps, prawns and fish entrees. Have them cooked your way — with garlic, buttered, steamed, fried or spicy. Bagoong Club now serves Bukang Liwayway breakfast selections from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily.

For P180, start the day with either inihaw na manok tocino, tapang baka with bistek sauce, longganisa espesyal with hamonado sauce, paksiw na bangus tiyan, sinaing na tulingan prito or adobong lechon paksiw.

Dutch clog praline at Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino

Crispy pork callos, putanesca negra at Rocksalt

Rocksalt is chefs Rob Pengson and Benny Ledesma’s new restaurant on Timog Avenue in Quezon City. “It’s common, it’s down-to-earth, it’s quintessential,” chef Rob explains, and yet it has the ability to turn “familiar dishes a notch higher to cure sinful cravings.”

Some of the dishes on the menu are crispy pork callos which is lechon kawali in callos, the traditional Spanish stew of beef cheeks, honeycomb tripe and chorizo. Other interesting dishes are the Rocksalt cheeseburger, Angus cheese burger and Angus cheese steak. Putanesca negra is putanesca in paella negra. 

 The prices are also family-friendly with entrees that begin at P350; pastas, P325; and salads, P255.

Rocksalt is located at Unit 7-8 Timog Commercial Complex, Timog corner Panay Ave., Q.C. It is open for dinner from 6 p.m. onwards, from Tuesday to Sunday. It is also open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
