It all starts with the choicest coffee berries carefully harvested by Filipino farmers. For Nescafe Classic, the choicest robusta coffee bean variety are used. The robusta variety is popular among to Filipinos. Coffee made from this variety has rich, dark flavors, has more body, and an earthy scent. This intense, aromatic coffee appeals to most Filipinos. After the best coffee berries are picked, these will then be dried, roasted, ground, and brewed. These stages are done under the supervision of master brewers at the Nescafe factory. The master brewer is like a maestro that combines the string, the wind and the percussion sections of an orchestra to create beautiful music; only that the master brewer instead combines quality natural ingredients (coffee beans) with the elements of heat in roasting; the right grinding methods and the right mix of water-to-coffee brewing ration; and the spray-drying process that turns that brew into instant coffee with the purest taste and most delectable aroma.
