Philip Rodriguez-Diane Conejero: Mates for life

Philip John Rodriguez and Diane Conejero met when they worked together in the same organization. After four years of more than just sharing office duties and responsibilities, nature took its course and paved the way for their friendship to blossom into love. As expected the couple sealed their commitment to each other with an “I do” ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Redemptorist Church with Fr. Louie Punzalan as officiating priest.

Radiant in an off-white multi-layered chiffon gown she personally designed, the bride walked down the aisle with her mom Charlene Hamoy Conejero as the groom, in embroidered barong tagalog, waited with loving anticipation at the altar.

Relatives of the bride and groom were chosen as principal sponsors. They included Victor and Esther Tan, Alfred and Emma Arreza, Delfin and Angelita Cuevas, Arnulfo and Edelia Hamoy, Felix and Carolina Ignacio, Amador and Annabella Hamoy, Liberty and Aida Tablante, and Edgar and Conception Yap.

Matron of honor was Bianca Marie Cuevas, younger sister of the bride, while Tisha Mellado, a dear friend, was maid of honor. Peter John and Paul John Rodriguez, twin brothers of the groom, stood as best men.

The bridesmaids in beige satin gowns were Carlene Rodriguez, Jocelyn Petralba, Mitzil Lumasag, and junior bridesmaid was Sharmaine Nillas. They were escorted by groomsmen John Rodriguez, John Arreza and Jude Rodriguez.

Secondary sponsors were Dale Anthony Cuevas and Raquel Duroy for the candles, Fritz Palileo and Lilibeth Avila for the veil and Marven Tapispisan and Hildred Harwart for the cord. Angela Banogon and Aisling Rodriguez were the sweet flower girls.

After Philip and Diane were pronounced husband and wife, everyone proceeded to the Grand Convention Center for the reception. The ballroom was transformed into a heavenly paradise with lovely flower centerpieces on each table. The guests soon after   feasted on a sumptuous buffet. The couple then obliged with the traditional cutting of the wedding cake, which was lovingly created by Cebu’s foremost baker Marissa Unchuan

The newlyweds performed their first dance and almost immediately everyone joined in. The night continued with the Royal Plus Trio Band that provided enticing music, which kept the guests on the dance floor for the rest of the night. Bianca Cuevas, who is the lead singer, serenaded the newlyweds with a few endearing ballads.
