MANILA, Philippines – The Center for Culinary Arts, Manila is offering a “Young Chefs’ Boot Camp” (YCBC) with four programs that can be finished in five days. Sessions still open run from May 4 to May 8, May 11 to 15, and May 18 to May 22.
Courses include “Baking & Pastry 101,” where kids will bake quickbreads, cookies, cupcakes, and mini-cakes; “Western Flavors,” where kids will learn to prepare simple sandwiches, pizza and pasta dishes; “Young Upstarts” for kids seven to 10 years old, where they create lunchbox goodies like pastas, Western treats like tacos, and Asian dishes like Japanese food; and “Southeast Asian Flavors,” which exposes kids to Pinoy and Asian favorites.
All the programs are inclusive of ingredients, lecture and recipe learning materials, aprons, toques (chef’s hats), and side towels. A Certificate of Completion is awarded at the end of each course.
