Casual elegance at Cravings Fraser Place
Casual dining goes a notch higher at Cravings Fraser Place.
With Makati’s skyline as backdrop, diners can now enjoy a casual dining experience while sampling the restaurant’s signature dishes.
The newly renovated restaurant was designed by Jie Pambid of the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID).
Orange, the restaurant and bakeshop’s dominant color palette, has been infused into the world-class, Asian contemporary theme followed by Fraser Place.
“The renovation ushered a total turnaround for our restaurant,” enthused Cris Manalang, operations manager. “All of us, including the Fraser Place management were surprised when the final look of our restaurant was unveiled.”
In fact, the presence of Cravings in a venue like Fraser Place strengthened its reputation as an able restaurant concessionaire.
“Fraser Place Manila is the leading serviced residence locally in terms of market penetration mainly because we offer top-notch facilities, spacious apartments, and strict security features, among others. Our food and beverage facility should cater to our clients and residents who are mostly expatriates and high-ranking officials in the corporate world. With this, Cravings provided a good partnership with us through the years. They cater to our guests’ needs not only through their dine-in facilities but also for room service and banquet,” said Lily Santos-Adrid, general manager of Fraser Place Manila.
Aside from orange, other complementary earth tones now dominate the venue enhanced by floral patterns of the wallpaper and wooden flooring. The glass wall on one side has been retained and freed of its former sheer covering, to achieve a modern look. This is matched with a row of tables and chairs with elongated legs to add to the play of lengths and dimensions.
Across this row, six new dining booths have been added, propped beside the glass wall that looms over the skyline. The booths are also shaded with wooden blinds in dark brown, matching the color of their structural frames. Round lamps with intricate capiz covers add character to the booths while creating dramatic lighting.
The pattern of the capiz lamp is repeated on the other side of the restaurant, on the front panel of the extensive bar with a marble top and lighting accents.
The arrangement of the furniture, including the Salad Bar which has been conspicuously placed at the center, maximized the space to make dining more comfortable. The venue can now accommodate up to 70 diners.
Launched in time for the 20th anniversary of Cravings, the new and improved Cravings Frasers Place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, catering to the burgeoning crowd of Makati’s mobile urbanites seeking to eat good food that is also healthy. The restaurant’s Salad Bar is a big hit among fitness-conscious professionals.
Cravings Fraser Place also has two function rooms for various events, meetings, and seminars. The rooms can accommodate up to 80 guests.
