Sweet bliss: Black forest sundaes and a massage
When was the last time you indulged yourself — when you lingered in bed just 10 minutes longer before facing another busy day; or when you took the rest of the afternoon off to get a relaxing massage at the neighborhood spa? When was the last time you took your family out for dinner or treated yourself to a decadent dessert, just because? Don’t you wish you could indulge yourself more often? With Jollibee’s newly launched Black Forest Sundae, you can.
“The new Black Forest Sundae completes the all-chocolate sundae trio line-up of Jollibee, which also includes chocolate sundae and rocky road brownie sundae,” says Jollibee marketing manager, Coleen Niguidula-Ducusin.
The Black Forest Sundae is made up of creamy vanilla soft serve, drizzled with dark chocolate syrup and cherry syrup, with chunks of brownies, milk chocolate chips, and a quarter cherry as toppings. “Some of the ingredients are imported, like the cherries,” Coleen explains, “while the yummy brownies are from our sister company, Red Ribbon. The mix of ingredients may appeal to a more sophisticated, adult taste, but our Black Forest sundaes can be enjoyed by kids as well.”
Indulgence and relaxation was the theme at the media launch of Jollibee’s Black Forest Sundae. Guests were treated to their choice of massage, either back, facial, head and shoulder, or foot massage, courtesy of Nurture Spa. It was a welcome pocket of time away from the pressures and stress of chasing after a story and meeting deadlines. And with bottomless servings of Jollibee’s Black Forest Sundae, it was pure indulgence.
“Jollibee sundaes are best savored slowly,” Coleen says. “Time seems to stand still as you leisurely scoop the vanilla soft serve, laced with dark chocolate syrup. You open your mouth in silent anticipation and savor the delectable sweetness, allowing the play of flavors to dominate your senses. You feel like you’re in dessert heaven.”
For only P35, you can afford to spoil yourself everyday with a Black Forest Sundae if you want, to cap your meal, or as a treat between meals. You can say that’s a mighty cheap thrill and opulent taste, all rolled into one. Forget the guilt trip. It’s about time you took the high road to pure indulgence.
