Love indeed works in mysterious ways and sometimes blossoms in unusual situations.
For registered nurse Jose Ezpeleta, meeting cosmetologist Elizabeth Poltronieri at the hospital where she was visiting her sister literally changed his life overnight. It was definitely love at first sight.
After dating for three years, Jose and Elizabeth decided to wed at the Sacred Heart Church in Cebu, which was marvelously decorated with beautiful fuchsia mums and orchids provided by foremost florist Pinky Chang. Rev. Fr. Socrates Saldua officiated the solemn ceremony.
Elizabeth looked stunning and radiantly beautiful as she walked down the aisle in a pure white satin gown she meticulously chose at an exclusive boutique in Las Vegas.
In keeping with the couples wish for a truly simple yet meaningful wedding, the principal sponsors consisted of two couples, Celestino Martinez and Carmen Rodriguez, and Sabin Aboitiz and Maria Dina Espina.
The best man was Rolando Seno and the grooms sister Edwina Ezpeleta was maid of honor. The Ezpeleta sisters, Chaveli, Elaine, and Elise were bridesmaids with the brides brother Frank Poltronieri and Charles and Joseph Ezpeleta as groomsmen.
Secondary sponsors included Nino Bascon and Chichi Martinez (candle), Apollo and Helen Gamallo (veil) and Raul Ezpeleta and Marilou Cañizares (cord). Ethan Duenas was the Bible and coin bearer, while Aileen Gamallo and Bianca Suarez with little sister Isabel Maria were flower girls.
The reception followed at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club where 200 close relatives and friends feasted on a fiesta of fusion cuisine. Likewise, a dessert lounge was filled with different cakes, pastries, and sweets to the delight of guests. Champagne, wine, and spirits flowed throughout the evening.
Jose had the first dance with his new wife, followed by beaming father Custodio, who led his glowing daughter around the dance floor.
For the newlyweds, the party didnt end there as they headed off to their undisclosed romantic honeymoon. The couple will make their home in America.
