The much-appreciated appreciation dinner, tendered by the Cebu Waterfront Hotel and Casino for their top producers and travel accounts for 2004, started like any other.
Guests mingled during cocktails while enjoying wine and a variety of canapés served by busy, attentive attendants at the hotels Pacific Ballroom.
The pleasantries did not end there. True to the propertys impeccable reputation of hosting unforgettable events that make for unforgettable memories, the well-loved general manager Marco Protacio, who never runs out of innovative ideas, literally transformed the elevated stage into a magical all-white setting where the honorees and stars of the evening, together with valued guests, dined in style.
A haute cuisine menu prepared by the chef Dietmar Ditrich was served with added spice in the form of the beautiful voice of Rochelle Vega, treating everyone to a medley of popular tunes.
Top producer was Astra Zeneca, the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in the country, while Global Link Travel and Tours was travel awardee for generating the most tour groups for 2004. The evening also served to officially launch the hotels Salute Loyalty Program, an exclusive membership promotion that grants participants points that are exchanged for prizes.
Indeed, it was a truly great evening like no other.
Candles burned bright for Zeny Deen, one of Cebus best-dressed ladies, when she celebrated her birthday at the popular Laguna Garden at Ayala Center.
The guest list was a lively mix of ladies who lunch, such as Susan Sala, Girlie Sarmiento, Girlie Lim, Ana Marie Dizon and Georgia Osmeña. Likewise, seen were some of the citys señoras de alta sociedad like Rosebud Sala, Annie Aboitiz, Annabell Luym, Amparito Lhuillier and Hazel Gonzalez.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a surprise heart-warming song and dance number by students of the St. Martin de Porres School for Special Children, where Zeny is a dedicated supporter.
Rustans Cebu recently introduced La Prairies ultimate skincare product at the stores premises in uptown Ayala Mall. International trainor Laura Nicholson, who graced the affair, together with cosmetics and toiletries VP Rhoda Campos and Rustans store manager Maricar Vazquez Tan, was exuberant in presenting the caviar intensive ampoule treatment that captures the exclusive quality of radiance by replicating the skins own restorative mechanism.
