The ever-so- active Cebu chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce, led by its equally dynamic president United States Consular Agent John Domingo, held a highly successful fundraising rock n roll party at the Grand Ballroom of the Cebu Marriott Hotel.
Two of the clubs dedicated active associates, gentleman Michael Go and the charming Cherry Callelero, hosted the fun-filled evening that was full of prizes and more surprises.
Among the guests and members in celebration were entrepreneurial couple Ben and Naida Yapjoco, travel specialists Del and Marilou Ordoñez, restaurateur Tony Lozada and his gracious wife Grace, past president Glenn Westerman and his wife Donna, radiologist Edwin Medalle, exporter Rene Sarmiento and his bubbly wife Girlie and jeweler Colette Goldstein.
Proceeds raised during the riotous event will be put towards the many laudable projects within the community.
The Grand Ballroom of the Cebu Marriott Hotel was again the venue of a cocktail reception to bid farewell to Cathay Pacific Airways well respected and loved hands-on manager Lawrence Fong and to welcome his successor, Anna Pui Shan Cheung.
Fong is moving on as commercial director of GLS (Hong Kong), a subsidiary of the airlines.
The Cebuanos warmly welcomed Cheung, who until recently was the in-flight sales and amenities manager. She will now be responsible in directing the operations of Cathay Pacific Airways Cebu office and will be leading the team in maintaining its market strength and position in the Visayas and Mindanao areas. A graduate of economics and political science from the University of London, Cheung continued her studies, finishing with a masters in business administration (MBA in finance) from the University of Manchester.
To Lawrence, Godspeed! To Anna, mabuhay!
