Having spent most of her carefree childhood days in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Stephanie decided one day to visit Cebu. By accident others call it fate she once again bumped into Anton, but little Stephanie was now a young woman and before long, they were dating.
The courtship ended at the altar of the San Remigio Parish Church. At this stunning location, Anton wed Stephanie at endearing rites officiated by Rev. Fr. Victor Labao SJ.
The grooms mom Deena, a much- sought-after landscaper, did away with flowers and instead opted to enhance the church with variegated San Francisco plants artistically grouped together along the aisle.
As the guests arrived in smart resort wear for the occasion, Stephanie looked serene in her off-white sleeveless long gown by Oj Hofer. Anton opted to wear an embroidered piña barong by Philip Rodriguez.
The principal sponsors were Stephanies godmother Rosemary Libre and Antons godfather Ray Pages, dear family friends Nicolas Torres and Susan Farrarons, the grooms uncle Luis Moro and Margarita Sarmiento.
Maid of honor was Martine Kruger Corthay who flew in from Switzerland, while the grooms brother Jeffren Giandino was best man.
The bridesmaids were Krista Pages, Jana Kubias, Mary Emerald Dichupa and Inglina Juvalta. The groomsmen were Gino Cambonga, Jet Ricardo, Charles Pages and Ezra Pages. Junior bridesmaids were Antons sister Beatrice and Stephanies cousin Nicole Enriquez. Their partners were Antonio Villalon and Michael Pages.
Mikel and Claudine Ugarte lit the candles, while Kerwin Go and Leanne Florendo pinned the veil. Arlo and Martine Sarmiento were cord sponsors.
After the couple exchanged their vows, everyone proceeded to the beautiful home and garden of Joseph and Mary Ann Yu overlooking a breathtaking white sand beach for the romantic sunset reception. The invitees were then treated to a splendid buffet that included grilled lobsters and roast beef, paella and an assortment of salads.
As the intimate number of guests toasted the newlyweds with champagne, the three-tiered lemon fondant pound cake by Cebus ever-popular baker Marissa Unchuan was ushered in.
There was much dancing and more celebratory toasts. The young once guests retreated to their beachfront quarters while the truly young stayed on to enjoy the party that lasted until sunrise.
