Two travel happenings, one night, both in Cebu

A group of close friends, all with a passion for traveling in comfort and style, gladly got together some 20 years ago and opened a travel agency. Their vision was to provide competent, efficient, business-like yet accessible and friendly service to discriminating Cebuanos, promptly assist them in their travel needs and requirements, sharing expert advice and making the entire trip a truly memorable and never-to-be-forgotten experience. Thus, Cebu Fortune Travel was born.
Under the inspiring and unflinching dedication of its one-of-a-kind general manager Aida Uy, plus her strong-willed staff whose day-to-day firmness of purpose is to deliver nothing but the best in everything they do, the agency has rightfully earned the distinction of being a leader in the travel and tourism industry in Cebu.
In cooperation with its branch office in Binondo, the agency was the first to venture into chartered flights to Hong Kong and pioneered the introduction of package tours to Asia. Today, it continues to set the pace for others to follow.
Recently, Cebu Fortune Travel was cited again, as it has consistently been in previous years, as one of the top travel corporations for airline ticket sales. They had every reason to celebrate. This they did by hosting an exceptional intimate dinner exclusively for their valued clients and guests at the Cebu City Sports Club.
Very subtly, with all the good taste one could muster, a video presentation highlighting various tours by air, land and sea was launched, while several holidays to dream destinations were raffled off to guests during the event.
Meanwhile, across town, the very progressive Inter Pacific Transit Inc., the general sales agent for Northwest Airlines in Cebu, had a late afternoon blessing of its spruced-up office. The event coincided with the welcome arrival of updated equipment in keeping with its unwavering commitment to serve its clients better.
Guests of honor were US consular agent John Domingo, newly-appointed Northwest Airlines country manager Ray Nishihira and ITI president Gina Campos, who was noticeably aglow in her interesting blessed stage of motherhood.
Welcoming guests were the super dynamic Northwest ladies, led by its district manager Ella Mae Lim, sales executive Anne Chan, passenger sales agents Lani Su and Tonet Cruz, accountant Cora Ortiz and her assistant Jiji Jumao-as.
Consul Domingo, in his well-researched and highly informative message, traced the airlines history and expounded on the merits of why travelers who frequently cross the Pacific should experience the wonderful world of Northwest Airlines.
An astonishing buffet of the most delectable finger foods, as could only be prepared by the much-in-demand and Cebus foremost and favorite master chef Derek Dytian of Creative Cuisine, was appetizingly laid out for all guests to nibble on throughout the evening, as excellent wine flowed endlessly.
