MANILA, Philippines — The Barbie brand is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.

As such, sneaker brand Keds partnered with Barbie for a collaboration, resulting in a collection helmed by the two American brands.

The collection features a nod to the very first doll, as well as additional styles that aims to capture the quintessential Barbie style. Barbie x Keds features three wearable styles, ranging from newest silhouette to an on-trend iteration of a classic platform sneaker.

The Point Striped Canvas sneaker gets a blast from Barbie’s past in a black-and-white chevron striped canvas, reminiscent of Barbie’s debut swimsuit from 1959. This platform lace-up has the height of a heel, the cushiony support of a sneaker, and the chic, feminine aesthetic of a point-toe pump (without any of the pinching). Plus, it features a removable golden Barbie “B” lace keeper.

The beloved Triple Up takes inspiration from Barbiecore for this bright pink metallic leather execution. With cotton candy-hued laces and Barbie’s signature pink on the outsole and footbeds, these special-edition sneakers are pink perfection. Accessorized with a chic, removable golden “B” lace keeper.

The pointed-toe platform gets a glam update with an iridescent gold leather upper making the Point Metallic Leather the perfect shoe to level up any outfit. The shoe brand nabbed this chic silhouette from their archives, elevating it with a lightweight one-inch platform bottom and a removable golden “B” lace keeper.

The capsule collection is available at the shoe brand’s official web store and in the following retail stores: SM Megamall, Trinoma, SM North Edsa – The Block, Glorietta, Festival Mall, SM Fairview, Robinsons Magnolia, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, U.P. Town Center, Evia, Gateway 2 Mall, Greenhills Mall.
