MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe queens showed their support to the organization's former president Paula Shugart in her battle against the pageant's Thai owner Anne Jakrajutatip.

In the comments section of Paula's post, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere described Paula as loving and caring.

"If people knew you, they would know how loving, caring you are. They would know your integrity, your intelligence but most importantly your honor," she commented.

"I had the chance to learn so much from you, and you dedicated so much time, outside of your 'work hour' to make me feel confortable, confident, happy. You didn’t work for Miss universe, you lived for Miss universe," added Mittenaere, who was crowned during the pageant's finals in the Philippines.

Miss Universe 1991 Lupita Jones also showed support to Paula.

"You are a profesional and a LADY, the truth always shine, and your light bothers the darkness," she commented.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete commented that it's her pleasure to be the winner under Paula's management.

"You built a golden era that is already in the history of the contests all around the world, and you shine like no one else for that, those of us who know you and your work, only can say the facts, evidence and the truth, and your work has always been clean; I know your integrity, values, effort of so many years of building a brand that you guided with elegance, respect, fair, always attached to legal transparency and order. LOVE YOU FOREVER !!!!!," she said.

Miss Universe 2015 2nd runner-up Olivia Jordan said that she's disappointed that someone has been trying to discredit the legacy and integrity Paula worked hard to protect.

"I will always admire your strength and be inspired by the way you use your voice. Grateful that you are speaking out to protect your reputation, but also to protect all the winners during your tenure that fought so hard to earn their title," she said.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Universe 2023 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee liked Paula's post.
