Miss Universe Philippines announces 2024 local coronations
MANILA, Philippines — The search for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee's successor is now underway.
The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization has announced the dates of local coronation nights for accredited partners around the country.
From January 19 to 21, new queens will be crowned in Pampanga, Batangas and Naic in Cavite. The coronation nights in Cagayan de Oro and Bohol are scheduled for the last weekend of the month.
The first weekend of February will be the coronation nights for Cebu, Albay and Quezon City.
MUPH has been signing contracts with accredited partners the past few months, most recently with Gerald Ortiz for Quezon province.
Current MUPH 2024 candidates include Kim Irish Placibe (Toledo,Cebu), Janah Rhyl Lumidao (Baguio), Zhyra Mae Cabalza (Tuguegarao), Natasha Jane Bajuyo (Bukidnon), Angel Rose Tambal (Leyte), Natasha Jung (Kananga, Leyte), Zoleil Mellane Taño (Occidental Mindoro), Raven Doctor (Palawan), Rethiana Rosa (Camiguin) and Kymberlee Street (Australia).
The Top 5 of MUPH 2023 consisted of Michelle Dee (Makati), Christine Opiaza (Zambales), Angelique Manto (Pampanga), Krishnah Gravidez (Baguio) and Pauline Amelinckx (Bohol) — the latter is named Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up.
Michelle finished in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2023 and won the Spirit of Carnival Award, Fan Vote award, a gold winner in the Voice For Change competition and Best National Costume.
