MANILA, Philippines — Miss Philippines Earth 2023 Yllana Marie Aduana and her whistle-bait figure bested her co-candidates in the figure and form competition to win the Best Bikini challenge at the Miss Earth 2023 Swimsuit and National Costume preliminaries held last December 16 at the Van Thanh Flower Village in Dalat City.
In a social media post, the lab scientist from Siniloan, Laguna wrote, "Philippines, we won Best Bikini! Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng bumoto at nag suporta. Mahal ko kayong lahat! P.S. Please don't forget to continue voting din po para ma secure natin ang #1 spot sa People's Choice Award. Vote for me for the Miss People's Choice via https://missearth.1voting.com.
The other delegates who were shortlisted in the Best Bikini challenge were Misses Zimbabwe and Madagascar (Africa), Misses Venezuela and Paraguay (Americas) and Misses Bulgaria and Netherlands (Europe). Miss Vietnam was chosen alongside Yllana for the Asia and Oceania region.
Yllana's stylized Maria Makiling costume by Patrick Isorena was also shortlisted in the Best National Costume challenge. Indonesia was the eventual winner for this category.
Currently, Yllana is on the second top spot in the ongoing People's Choice online poll. The leaderboard is topped by Paraguay. The other delegates on the top of the list are US Virgin Islands, Belgium, Venezuela, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, France and South Sudan.
The sold-out final show will unfold on December 22 at the Van Phuc City. James Deakin will reprise his role as master of ceremonies for the coronation rites. Stay tuned!
