MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization began its week-long acceptance of physical applications at the 4th level of Estancia Mall's east wing in Pasig City.
The organizers opened a three-hour window (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) until today, February 17, before it undergoes screening for its 2023 lineup.
A bevy of independent and camp-trained (from Aces & Queens and Kagandahang Flores) aspirants were seen filing their applications at the aforementioned venue.
Some of the more familiar faces included Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Alexandra Panlilio, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019 Klyza Castro, and young mom Claire Dacanay from Parañaque.

This year's MUPH pageant will have three titles up for grabs. While pageant observers guessed the two new titles to be Supranational and Charm, the organization have yet to officially announce the two new additional titles. Whether they retain the non-competing Miss Tourism and Miss Charity titles remains to be seen.
The bidding wars for the franchise to the national directorship is seemingly under wraps with the organization's ongoing acceptance of both online and on-site submissions.
Pageant aficionados have surmised that MUPH creative director Jonas Gaffud's recent visit to Thailand was for the purpose of ironing out the new franchise agreement with JKN, new owner of the Miss Universe Organization.
