A celebration of culture & faith at SM Cebu Malls

In celebration of 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines, SM City Cebu transports the faithful back in time, dahlings, with “Mga Hulagway sa Pagtuo” and “Filipino Faith Through the Hands of Cebuano Artists,” exhibits highlighting art, heritage and the Filipino faith, on view until May 9 at the North Atrium of SM City Cebu and upper ground floor, City Wing, of SM Seaside City Cebu, respectively.

The shows are presented by the Archdiocese of Cebu and SM Malls in Cebu, in partnership with Smart Communications Inc. and InnoPub Media.

Also on view at SM City Cebu are Marian and Santo Niño paintings and images.

With a replica of a Spanish colonial church as the centerpiece, Panaw sa Pagtuo uses advanced digital tools such as quick response (QR) codes and virtual reality (VR) devices to allow visitors to experience Cebu’s religious treasures in one setting, palanggas.

The QR codes are equipped with rich multimedia content, whereas the VR videos transport guests to Cebu’s beautiful and grand stone churches. Shoppers can also download the Panaw sa Pagtuo application through the Apple app, Google App Store, and Huawei App Gallery.

The mobile app, which serves as an exhibit guide and companion, contains all exhibit materials that can be accessed at the venue, palanggas.
